Happy Birthday

Well we did it. Lily finally had her birthday the actual birthday not the every other day of the year that she tells everyone it is her birthday. She is 5! We had a party and I made her favorite meal fried rice and egg drop soup and chocolate cake. She opened presents and didn't even care what they were she just was excited to open the next one and the card well she didn't even listen to dad read it. But she did get to try on everything she got and we of course took pictures so enjoy the party with us by checking out the photos.

Birthdays

I am tired of birthdays! Shouldn't the mother who bore the child be celebrated on the birthday. We are the ones who did all the work on that blessed day. I think that we should get to lay in bed just like on the original day and someone take care of us and rub our feet. Nycole got a long massage on Jordans birthday. Therefore I declare birthdays a celebration for both birthday person and the mother who gave birth to that person. We will make two exceptions in the family and I will of course stand proxy for them, it is one of the sacrifices we moms make for our kids. So tomorrow on Lily's 5th birthday I will give this new idea a try. It might only last a few minutes but it does take time for a tradtion to catch on.

Quick Trip

Well since my last post we drove to Salt Lake and back. It was very fast because my uncle died and we went to his funeral. Along the way we got to see Katie and family and leave the girls with them in Nebraska. We made it to SLC in record time and attended the funeral and then had a little family get together which was GREAT it has been so very long since we all were together and we realize how much we really miss everyone. Family is so very important and that was brought hime to us this weekend. We had a great time and cannot wait for Christmas to come back and see the gang again. It should be tons of fun to drive with all 4 kids this time.

Working?

I got a picture of the Royals at work and the reason for the picture is that I have to have proof that every once in a while they do work. It is hard on them so it only happens when we are in dyer need. But one day they will chose our nursing homes and hopefully they won't chose the one from Happy Gilmore.

Meatloaf

Ok I really did make this meatloaf recipe that Ashlie sent me. Steven was the biggest fan he loved it, dad just said "this isn't meatloaf" and Lily and Kari eat it very well. Nathan ???? I don't remember because he just isn't here most of the time for dinner. I liked it very much because it was a little bit sweet and my favorite food in the whole world is SUGAR.

Sisters

Oh how we love our sisters! We want to be just like them when we grow up! They are so cool and wonderful. We love them so. We love our brothers too.

Picnic Time

We went to a ward picnic last night and we had so much fun. The girls loved the swing and watermelon as you can see. Steven had fun playing with the girls but he wanted to go homw minutes after arriving. Oh well we had fun and had a great dinner. Yang Lei got proposed to by Brother Don an old man that is 75 and is a darling. He was so sad to find out she was already married.
